The Dorothy F. Schmidt Center for Arts and Letters opened in 1994. The three-building complex includes the University Theater, an art gallery, two studios, a multimedia lecture hall, photography labs, rehearsal studios, and a fully equipped flexible 200-seat theater, with scenic and costume shops. These three buildings along with the preexisting 500-seat proscenium theatre and the 100 seat small studio theater form a quadrant that overlooks a beautiful outdoor amphitheatre.
