God Fires Man

A New York four-piece rock band that featured members of Errortype: 11, Instruction, Gay for Johnny Depp, Into Another, and Walking Concert, God Fires Man formed in 2006. Their initial release, an internet-only five-track CD-EP was successful enough to warrant a tour of the U.K. early in 2007. Upon returning, the group signed a deal with DeGoot (for American distribution) and Xtra Mile (for U.K. distribution) and went into the studio to record their debut with Ethan Dussault and Brian Virtue. The resulting full-length, A Billion Balconies Facing the Sun, hit stores in January of 2008. To build a buzz for the album, God Fires Man released a warm-up EP called the Dark EP in November of 2007. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
